Hey Matt, funny to stumble upon your post re linehandling/panama canal/returning to Florida/Luna's castle. All of those factors apply to my situation as well, right now. I am also in Luna's castle and am hoping to find my way to Florida by sailboat. Do you think that starting at the canal would be ideal or rather searching for boats on the Atlantic side?

I was recommended Portobello, northeast of Colon, as being a place where many sailboats dock. However, many of them are just doing the Colombia/Bocas/etc routes. Regardless, that's what I was recommended.

So I am plotting my next move. Did you go to the port today?

What's the good word? I'm not sure if it would be to either of our advantage to work together on this (being an offered "crew" of two). But perhaps it could?I have no sailing experience but am definitely physically and mentally capable of learning and taking care of tasks/techniques.
