The quantity of mildew was too great, so we gave up and removed almost all the wood so we could clean it thoroughly, cover it with a mildew inhibitor, re-stain some of it, replace some that had just rotted. This is after the removal. The cabin light is a new LED bulb, the one in the back is the warmer incandescent bulb. Once I got all the lights changed to LED, you can turn them all on and draw less power than one old incandescent bulb, even though the quantity of light is 3-4 times more and the entire boat is lighted. If I had it to do again, I'd probably go with smaller LEDs.
