My boat LOA: 29' 10" LWL: 25' Beam: 8' 9" D: 4' 10" Disp: 13,200 lb.
Thistle LOA: 32' 1" LWL 27' 6" Beam: 11' D: 5' Disp: 20,000 lb.

I really need to stop in and visit. I was there on Saturday to check on my chainplates and a couple of other projects.
I'm familiar with the Thistle, I'd love to learn more.

I can't afford Pete's prices for chain plates so am providing my own 954 bronze strap and having him bend it. Not quite the same as custom made cast, but fine for me.

William Atkin Captain Cicero.....original a commission for E.B.White (was supposed to be the "Kathrine S." named after his wife, but he never had it built and only allowed the plans to be sold if the name was changed. Thistles where quick little racing boats with a 7/8 rig with jumper stays.

So I read on your profile that your refitting your boat. And you said we have the same designer? I didn't recognize your line drawing (yet), I was thinking maybe a Thistle?
I'd love to see what you have going on. I'm in the middle of refitting mine as well. I have the inside just about gutted and am getting ready to start tabbing some cabinets in. This boat was never completed so I have a pretty clean slate to start with.

I look forward to meeting another person doing this. This is only my second boat and I'm fairly new to sailing, not to mention rebuilding (building?) an Orca. I'm having a blast though and learning fast.
