    Hi there,
If you go to the marina manager in Lefkas they can arrange for you to attend with a special agent and the agent will do all the paperwork necessary to get a semi permanent status to stay on your boat. You can't leave the country or you will invalidate it. The original reason for setting this up was so that crew on ships can stay for a longer period. Your boat becomes part of whatever country your registered in. They stamp your passport as checked out of the country with a small boat stamp beside it.
We did this for both my wife and myself. Cost at the time was around $250 bucks for the both of us. You can not do this by yourself, you need a special agent. Hope this makes sense. We stayed in Greece legally for around 9 months and then sailed to Turkey. Cheers, Robert

Lefkas is a good spot and Williams and Smithells is a very good broker, ask for Stephen. You can legally stay in Greece as long as you want as long as you do the proper paperwork. PM me if you like and I'll explain exactly what you should do. Cheers, R

Hey Robert - thanks for your input... I would love to know how to stay in Greece longer than the max 90/180 rule....?
