Sandy, I'm looking to purchase a Catfisher 28' if you know of one available. I want to keep it in Florida. Thanks, Terry 586-7099559https://www.cruisersforum.com/images/smilies/popcorn.gif

I would suggest the Gemini for the following reasons: There are so many that there is a well established depreciation history, making it easier to project your expenses. At 14' beam vs. 16 it is far easier to truck in. The centerboards kae the boat a bit more weatherly (can sail closer to the wind) and a bit easier to get off a grounding situation. Being less expensive there is a better chance someone will go out and get one for themselves, which would promote even more interest. Outboards are an advantage especially in a freshwater environment becasue salt water is thier greatest threat. You could see 2000 hours on a Yamaha in fresh water. But out-board equipped Geminis are somewhat rare. Fortunately, they are also a little cheaper. Try to find a well kept 3400.

Hi Sandy, I'm Terry Methner and a 35 yr. marina owner on Lake St. Clair with mainly power boats. I would like to get some catamaran customers in our area and start by buying one myself. Because of well size cofigurations I'm interested in either the PDQ 32' or the Gemini 105M. I also like the idea of the outboards. Which one would you suggest for fresh water with short choppy waves and why?
My son owns Boats Unlimited, a fiberglass repair business, and he likes the construction quality of the PDQ ( Balsa core makes him money). Thanks, Terry 586-7099559
