Sorry for the very late response. I was not aware that I could receive messages this way.
First I installed ubuntu, got the sources from github, created the makefile and build it.
It worked just fine. However I damaged my pandaboard so now I use a raspberry pi model
B with 512mb.

Loooking to do some playing with micro computers for onboard chart plotting. How did your Pandaboard work out? Were you able to compile opencpn to work sucessfully and well on it?
