Alls Well - I just saw your message (never looked in profile comments before). I don't know if you can replace the CB wire in the water. Ours broke 2 years ago with a big bang. I was concerned about damage from the load bang so called Bobby Hood who works for Hood and has a 38. He said not to worry and you can sail without the wire. We replaced it by hauling (end of season anyway) and learnt that you should not be lowering the CB all the way down. There is actually an extension aft where the pennant is attached and that should stay up in the CB well.

Anyway, we love the LH38 and live on her 2-3 months during the summer. Next year we are taking her to the Bahamas for the winter. Currently replacing the balsa core under the deck and not replacing the teak.

Wish there was owners blog but never found one. Where are you located?

    Hello Safari,
I too have a LH38, "Alls Well, tio"
Love her! I want to replace the CB wire. Was wondering if you've done that and if you think it can be done in the water? I am going to be hauling out in the near future, but I thought if possible, it would be nice to take care of that now and have one less thing to worry about at the haul out.
Also, are you aware of any owners blog for our boat?
    Thanks,
    Hugo
