    Hi , just saw your note-sorry for the delay in responding. I rebuilt thee fine myself and just farmed out the machining (decked the block, pressing and honing of pistons). All in, with parts, cleaners etc I say 3500 to 4000. ButI did everything else-removal, assembly and reinstall. I’m not a mechanic-just a somewhat skilled amateur and I had a good space to work and a lot of time on my hands. It’s pretty easy work once you get the engine out of the boat.     Can you share the pricing of your 4-108 rebuild? How did you find the shop to do the rebuild? In FL my mechanic is saying they can do. A repower with a new yanmar for only $2k more than a rebuild.
