    Hi there,
Yes, it is a textile forestay - Doyle Stratis Cable. It is not an anti-torsion line, though we may switch to one when the current cable needs replacing. The Ubi Maori Jiber looks pretty cool but it isn't the system we are using and I haven't seen or heard anyone else using it.
    Cheers, Tom

    Hello Foxy Kitty,

I saw a pic you posted about soft hanks and see you have a furler with what looks like textile forestay, is it dyneema or did you use an anti torsion line? Are you using the Ubi Maori Jiber by chance? If so, how do you like it?

I just re-rigged my 38' cat with dyneema but left the wire forestay for a planned eventual furler upgrade...
I would love to use soft hanks so I don't have to modify all my sails with luff tape, also so I can more easily switch and use the right jib for the conditions and save weight aloft...

I just discovered the Jiber via internet searching but don't know anyone who has one or seen one in person.
