My sailing plans for this season are in a state of flux. Between now and the middle of March, I will have a better idea if what is and what is not happening with the 2023 sailing season.
It might be nothing - keep the boat on land and come back next winter to get started again.
It might be a jump across the Atlantic - Great Circle route to the Azores, and then on to Brest, and the Baltic.
Or by some miraclle, there might even be some island time before crossing the Atlantic. The boat is only 14-20 days from the Caribbean, once she gets in the water and is made ready.
As always, wind and weather will have the uktimate veto power.

Therefore, lets stay in touch. We never know what the future will hold.
You seem like a good person to have on a crew. If our schedules line up well, we can do some further planning.

My name is Tanner and I am 27, fit. I recently bought an Islander 28 this spring and have plans of cruising Mexico this next fall. I do all my own maintenance on the boat. I just got back from a 5 day Catalina trip with my girlfriend(haven't asked her yet if she is interested in crewing across the Atlantic, though I'm sure she would be).

I currently work as an engineer in the Aerospace industry in the San Diego area. I love working on projects and getting my hands dirty(especially fish guts... I love fishing) and can cook, poke and ceviche are my specialty. I notoriously pack light.

I would love to join on this adventure to hopefully learn and hone skills needed to captain my own boat to far away places.
