As a former 100 ton captain and boat builder, I can say in those circles Hunter was not considered a”Blue water boat”. The hulls were always thin and were not beefed up to withstand the rigors of heavy seas! I can already hear people saying”Oh I’ll watch the weather and wait for a window”! Believe me, the sea is a fickle mistress, you can have two foot Sean now an 30 foot seas in just a few hours, I want a hull built for those conditions!
