Ha! Deck caulking is coming up on mine too. Maybe I’ll fly out and help with yours then you fly out and help with mine!

The chain plates are not glasses over, thank god. If I were to replace all 8, I’d chop them and bolt new ones to the outside. Crealock and the former owner knew each other, so we’ve got proper set of sail plans drafted by him. We’ve got 20 lbs of manuals etc, but nothing pertaining to the hull per-se save for some commissioning photos from Alameda, CA.

Don’t be too envious of the Pilothouse. In the design phase of the settee, they completely disregarded the idea of comfort. Steering from inside in a squall? Now that is enviable.

Oh, I have a question. Were your chainplates fibreglassed over? I don't think it came from the factory like that but mine were totally covered and it's been a nightmare to uncover them and see rusty water leak out. I only checked 3 which were all okay.

And yes, same engine. The listing say it was replaced in 2010 which is strange. only 1500 hours.

Did you have any manuals to do with the actual boat? I only have some equipment manuals.

It seems to me you have a pretty neat looking boat. Mine has been neglected in some areas and needs some care to get it back to scratch. Redoing the deck caulking, port light leaks, varnish....

That pilothouse looks great. I think I'm envious.

Yes, you can see the listing here: www.dbyboatsales.com.au/listing/crealock-40

That’s really cool, same here. If you ever want to compare notes, we’ve been going pretty deep on all aspect of our boat. You can see it at @squallsdeep on Instagram.

We have the Yanmar 4jh2e and I’m assuming you do too. Do you have any pictures of your boat?

Oh very nice. I'm digging through this boat finding all the problems I need to fix. Of course I didn't see them when buying but I kind of like it. Also figuring out where similarities with pacific seacraft and creala end.

I'm over in Australia. This boat was once in Cananada.

Amazing! I just bought hull #5, the pilothouse version and live in WA. Whereabouts are you‽
  8. WaldPinkler
    Yes, I do.

Hello! Do you still have your Creala?
