Heres the skinny:
Lofrans Tigris 1500W windlass.
12 VDC
Assuming ~60 feet total wire run for my 37’ Crealock to windlass and back to battery
A=P/V = 1500W/12.5V = 120 amps
10% permitted drop
VD=10% x 12.5 = 1.25V
CM=(10.75 x 120A x 60 ft)/1.25V
= 77,400/1.25 = 61,920 CM
Per table CM for 2 AWG is 66,369 which is larger than 61,920 (by almost 10%!)
So I hope for 2 AWG
