Awesome thank you. Bill from the firehall has a boat right behind us and told us to come Sunday morning. usually they get results by next day, he said call the firehall and he will send someone down to get us too. Currently we are in O47. will get our back to vancouver until border restrictions are lifted. will keep at our brokers dock for a few months but likely will be back here. Was surprised to find out the marina is actually closed until next week too but Ding happened to be there yesterday and helped set us up.

I forget if I saw this before and whether I replied. hopefully this is not too late.

For the PCR test - yes, there is. They do the test twice per week at the Point Roberts Fire station. I think it's Wednesdays and Saturdays, but don't quote me on those days. The thing to be careful about is that it's not a same-day sort of service. I've had received the results with, literally, 30 minutes left on the 72 hour timer, so had to hustle across the border. Normally, though, results come in about 24 hours.

I'm not sure if you've been to Point Roberts or know where things are. The walk from the Marina to the firehouse is not all that long, but it's not a 5 minute jaunt either. You might be able to find a lift from someone else, though.

The changing rules are a pain in the _______. My boat's on the hard, two throughulls partially yanked, and now I can't get back to her, likely, until end of January.

Thanks. We have moorage reserved at Point Roberts but am concerned about border issues as rules have just changed again. We are sailing the boat back next week from Gig Harbor to Vancouver and going to keep the boat in Coal Harbor for at least a month or two until things with the border sort out.

Now when going south, we need a test done in USA before coming back, is there anywhere in Point Roberts to get a PCR test and do you know the turnaround time?

Ideally, would be great to get a test there, get our boat back to canada and then drive back down to get our car same day so dont have to get another test done.
