I've been pouring over your various posts, because, there is so little information on cruising west Sumatra (and little on much of indonesia). We (family of 4) are planning to spend a year or two cruising in SE Asia, and, I am coming to realize that doing so sounds not as amazing (lots of folks telling me Phuket/Langkawi is lost paradise) or more difficult (indo) than I had previously thought.

Your accounts of west Sumatra though sound more like what I am interested in. As well as getting to other parts of Indo. I was wondering if I could ping you about a few things like best timing, anchorages, provisioning, etc.
