18b. 1999 Al E. Gator, happy in his new home at the Biophilia Nature Center (BNC). Here's a little Al E. Gator story. During A 5th grade tour at the BNC, the children were preparing to toss a whole chicken to Al for his lunch, When out of the adjoining swamp a large rat snake with a frog in his mouth appeared and caused an uproar of shrieks. Carol grabed the frog, the snake slinked back whence he came, the frog took 3 shakey jumps right into Al's mouth. That didn't deter his appetite, he gobbled that whole chicken, feathers and all, up in one gulp. Then it was on to the butterflys...etc.
