No you can't fill them in Eurpoe. You need to make sure you can disconect the regulator and put a new regulator on when necessary; OR to be able to disconect the valve before the regulator.

Then you can just change it over the the eurpoean one simple and extreemly cheaply. We paid $7 for our new regulator and $5 for the valve. The gas bottles are FREE!!!!! they just charge a deposit (in Turkey, anyway)

Its VASTLY simple, so do not worry

Hi Just new to the cruising game - need to outfit our new catamaran with gas bottles - interested in the Ragasco composite cylinders from the USA (POL fitting with OPD valve) but can we refill them in Europe? Do we need an adapter? Do we need a different regulator? I have emailed Ragasco repeatedly but have no response to my questions - you seem to know the ropes hope you can help thanks kerry
