Thanks justwaiting! Always glad to help. You are very right in your statement about raising peoples expectations of proffesionals. I can tell you from experience that clients who ask the right questions and clearly have some idea what they are talking about get better service-sometimes dramatically so. There are so many "pros" out there who have no idea what they are doing it's scary. And many owners just don't know how to tell when they are getting quality for their money. I'm hoping the age of internet information will be the end of the boat repair con men out there. They make me ashamed to be a tradesman.

Learning from a craftsman and a professional is some thing that i have always valued. On CF there is a far share of bulldust and so it is a welcome relief to see some of the misconceptions/ misrepresentations dispelled with quality and informed advice so freely given. My worry is that so many come to the forum having allready made a decission and looking for other to validify.

Apart from what you have taught other to do for themselves, you have raised the expectations of what can be expected of "professionals'. In reading your posts those that have no intention of doing work for themselves are learning the questions that they need to ask of commerical operators. This in its self has real value. I have some more questions to ask but that i will do in public so that others may also benefit.
