Wanted to thank you for the wise advice regarding a windlass. Saw one on ebay and was heavy for it until I made the picture much larger and noticed some gasket glue or something. I was VERY close to pulling the trigger and was talking to the seller, when I rememered your advice about "rattle can" jobs. The top of the windlass had "800" on it while the motor was 1000. Definitely a put together job.
