Hi Everybody. Currently, my wife and I are living on board a 65' steel 'retired' Dutch sailing barge. She used to transport coal along the Dutch inland waterways, but was converted to a houseboat. We've been on board for 37 years and now it's time for a change.
We're in the process of selling up. Our intention is to have a land based home in Portugal and to buy a Formosa 51, or similar. We intend also to have a holiday let, so people will potentially be able to enjoy a stay in a rural holiday let and / or a cruise on the Atlantic coast, or into the Med.

It'll be the fulfilment of a long held dream.

We're both 71, going on 39 (living on a houseboat outside the city keeps you fit and healthy), so we're looking forward to several years of new adventure and meeting new friends.

If anybody has any experiences, good or bad, with Formosa's, I'd like to hear about them.
