The beginning.  The leading edge (the "crush zone") is redwood, dried and straight grain, 2 pieces of 1 1/2" X 11 1/2" X 7'.  The solid section is the main load bearing element, same dimensions.  The after 2/3 is two pieces of 1 1/2" 4# polyurethane foam, all pieces glued with WEST System epoxy.

    Very interesting Roy! How has this center board worked out for you?

    Can't tell yet. I am hauling out in April and will install it then, followed by heavy use going from San Diego to Hawaii to the PNW, then back to SD for prep of next phase of cruise.
