Much of the Bay is way too shallow, even for powerboats (esp. winter with low tides).

Roger Riverview. Had boat at Apollo Beach a few weeks but WAY too shallow

I live in Riverview, currently boatless (member of Freedom Boat Club), and am not a member of the clubs you mentioned. I have intentions of getting a sail boat sometime in the future (like many people, I suppose) - waiting for work schedule to allow me to be in town more than a few weeks at a time.
