    Hi Dan - part 3
I did go to the MM2H link and the one for Thailand as well. But as I said I have lived in Florida most of my life. I own property here and feel comfortable sailing in and around its waters. Perhaps more to the point I feel comfortable knowing when to put a boat on a trailer and start going 55MPH to windward.

Still the idea of returning to SE Asia and exploring its waters is appealing. I saw your post about your efforts in the King's Cup this year. Best of luck and let me know how Miss Siagon looks. It still might be cheaper to go to Thailand and buy the boat and slowly sail it there or some where else, like back to the US, than to buy the C37 in NY.

Hi Tom - I am not really an expert I Thailand but I do get up there 3-4 times a year. The C37 is a cool boat. They are a growing populatoin here in Singapore as well. I don't really know about the grounding in 2010, but if the same boat they won another regatta in July 2011 so the boat can't be busted up too bad - LOL.

I can ask around if you are serious and also I will be competing in Kings Cup this year so can get eyes on the boat in December if it competes.

As far as exporting to US, I think the difficulty is transporting to US. However the US market is so huge , bringing in boats from overseas is like importing sand to a beach.

If I was in the market for a mid-size (& new) boat the C31 would be right near the top of the list. Those things smoke - Our local dealer lapped me in my boat on the first lap of a beercan race last March - Very wounded pride - LOL...

    Hi,

I have seen some of your posts about your local knowledge in Thailand. I noticed "Miss Siagon" is for sale there and I am in the market for a C37 but am concerned about the paperwork and fees associated with buying a boat outside the US.

I am also wondering if you know anything about "Miss Siagon", especially any possible damage from being blown on the beach after the Kings race.

    Thanks in advance.
