Hi Ken and Marry, we are at Norman Island right now...can you tell me if there is a trail to SpyGlass hill? We are in Benures Bay and tried to find some trails.

Yes, from Benures Bay you can walk inland from the small sand beach area through some brush in the flat part of the bay. You will come on to an old road that was cut in long ago when development was planned to occur sooner. Just curve East and up the road when you reach an intersection turn Left to go to Money Bay a nice place to swim and looks nice from above and on the beach. Short 10 min walk.

If you turn Right you will head toward Spy Glass Hill. The trail / road will be on the back side of Norman, the South side. You will notice a Hella Port and an intersection of a road coming up. That will go to the Pirates Restaurant back down at the Bight. If you keep on the rim road heading West you will find several branch trails and the one to Spy Glass. None are marked. If you go into the Bight and to Pirates someone may be able to draw you one but it really isn't a hard thing to find. Just look or take a chart with you so you can see where you are. Take a good hat and water. No stopping places and not much shade but take a break in that you find. Just basically keep left except where you see it is not going up but we took all the trails over a couple of days and had a blast.

I'm in Fat Hogs Bay now and will be in Trellis for Christmas but will be back to Norman after the New Year and a quick trip to St. Thomas to pick up a few things in Red Hook.

Have fun and go slow and take rest breaks before you need them. Mary always out walks her self but I slow her down and we both end up better for it.
