quartersplash, I'm not on this forum very much and I just saw your message. I shipped a PDQ 36 Catamaran. 36 ft x 18 ft. I shipped from Ft. Lauderdale to Ensenada, Mexico. It's been a while but I think I ended up paying around $15,000. The companies were pretty easy to play against each other. "So and so quoted me $15,000, would you match that?" They all started out quoting me $25,000.

I took down my jib, but left my mainsail on and just lashed it down the same way I would for a hurricane. Everything came through fine.

What else can I tell you?? Have you shipped your boat yet? The Sea of Cortez is cold, cold right now, I'll be glad when this cold spell breaks. I'm headed over to the baja soon, maybe in the next week to 10 days, just looking for the right weather window.

    Cheers, Kim

    good evening.
I saw your comment this evening and was wondering what you shipped, what size, what company, and what the cost ended up being. I have an endeavour Victory cat 35' that I am just getting ready to ship from Florida to La Paz or in the general area. Thanks for any info that you can give me.
