Biography

I love adventure and am not afraid to be out on the water. I don't have much experience sailing but am trainable.

I'm 36, single female, very active, I've run some half-marathons, most recently completed a 200-mile 12 person 36 hour relay Ragnar Race in New Hampshire. It was a blast. I'm totally up for all things adventurous.
I've through-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 1999 for 6.5 months, hiked over 3,400km. I've canoed 1,000km on the old native/fur trade route from Winnipeg Manitoba, to Lake Superior which took 50 days to complete, back in 2006.

Have travelled to 24 different countries, I speak French fluently and conversational Spanish.

I live seasonally on Pelee Island, Ontario, Canada. I started up an ecotourism called Explore Pelee, business 9 years ago, doing biking tours and it's grown to 7 staff in high season. We now do Island Motor Tours, Cottage Rentals, Taxi Service (I'm Canada's Most Southern taxi driver!!!- which I think is pretty funny). In the spring and fall, I teach environmental educational programs with local high school. Maps and Compass, Geocaching, a basic GPS course. I sit on several tourism committees both locally and regionally. (There's another photo of me in that link).

In my off-season, I host inspirational networking talks at local wineries and breweries in Essex County. It's called the LIFT Series. I started the series 5 years ago. It's a blast! It's been very transformational for many women in the area. It was a promotional series that was promoting my Women's Retreats. I host women's retreats in different locations called Sun and Soul Retreats, last year was California and Pelee Island, next spring in April, Greece. So yes, I'm into helping people.

Also, yes, an animal lover. I grew up with cats, and love dogs. Want to be more settled before I get a dog.

Huge interest in the environment. From teaching environmental education, to having a Geography degree, to living in my tent for several months over the years, to also living off-grid for a summer.

My life mission has always been to go out there and do what I've always dreamt of. I have a following of clients from both tour business and retreat business. I feel like doing a trip like this has always been on my bucket list. I'll be blogging about it as well.

No allergies, I eat healthy and clean, was vegetarian for 10 years, but eat everything now!

Hobbies: Running, yoga, crazy adventures, skiing, people watching, traveling.

I'm also love taking sunrise photos!
