Biography

Recently retired after 30+ years of operating a successful sailing yacht in NY harbor, which I established in 1987 with a pretty shabby old sloop. Built it up step by step to be "the glam" sailing yacht for private corporate entertainment and personal events. The goal was to live an artistic lifestyle, which was reflected by the modifications and continual beautification of the boat (expanded to a peak of 14 boats) and only work about 1/2 of the year. The other half would be devoted to travel, living a water-based lifestyle in low key places. This was a hugely refreshing brain changer after 6 months of very intensive, demanding, rewarding, often-off-the-wall "only in New York City" type of experience and challenges.
