Dave may I suggest you something. In my old Nobeltec Admiral they had the weather map with all the isobars, Waves, etc... and you could see forecast for the next say 5 days. This was very interesting and was very usefull for sailing outside the sheltered waters. Further more it was showing the high and low pressures moving for X numbers of hours. I don't know if they still use that way in the weather offices; but it was surely the best for seaman. I still have the demo of it.

    Hi Dave,

I am sorry to mail you again about this issue, but I gave up trying to start the gradar plugin. My last hope is if you can see the problem looking into the wireshark capture I posted (#141)

    Best Regards,
    Joćo Bispo (Seamount)[

Hey, Thanks so much for all your work. I just copied a bunch of charts from a friends dropbox to mine. I downloaded OpenCPN but it doesnt recognize the files when I try to load them into my directory. Is there any red flag there telling you I am doing something wrong? I am very new to this.
    Thanks again!

    Hi Dave,
There hasn't been any updates to the sourcecode for gradar in a while. Are you still working on it? Are you local? I'm in Vista,CA. Checkout www.nextgenmarine.com. I recently started a business focused on providing full marine electronics solutions based on PCs.

Dave, may I make you a suggestion:- Do away with all older version on the forum web site and on the overall. Request that everyone is updating the program to the last Beta version and advising every one that after, say the next stable release you will not provide help for version older than the last Beta. This would surely help you to maintain a certain degree of order. Presently it seems to be confusing some peoples.
    Best Regards.

    Hi Dave

You replied to my post in the USB-GPS Problems thread and asked to see the log. I did post the log and wondered if you'd had a chance to look at it? I would really like to get this problem fixed so that I can start using OpenCPN.

I am a very experienced computer user... I used to write intel assembler serial port handlers and rewrote the dos vga bios to give better performance so don't be afraid to get technical with me!

I have the pleasure to have opencpn 302 on my PC. However i have touble to connect an external GPS device so that will show location in the C-Map. It worked OK in the beginning but now the GPS only works now and then. Can you recommend some simple GPS receivers that works well with openCPN 3.0.2?

    Hi.
I think there is something wrong on the FAQ page.

On the bottom with the links for the international links. The link for Norway has been altered to the worse
    Screenshot: kb-h.com/images/errorocpnfaq.png

The correct link is: opencpn.kb-h.com and should state "Norway"

Just thought I should notify you.

    Great work BTW, as usual

    Sir,

I use Navigatrix which has OpenCPN 2.5 on it.

Using Navigatrix I can't download any of the plugins to Navigatrix that would be used in OpenCPN. The error message is always something like, "Insufficient memory" even though I'm using an 8 gb persistant usb stick.

Do you know how I can fix this?
