Dear catsailor1 -- your trimaran seems familiar. In the mid-70s I worked with a guy, Bill Cox, at TTI in Westwood. Bill was a systems programmer, and an avid sailor. Bill rented space in a boatshed on Terminal Island and began construction of (I believe) this very same trimaran (or perhaps an earlier one). The Plans he obtained through SAILING or a similar magazine. I left TTI before the boat was done, Bill's plan was to work another year then sail away towards Tahiti and follow his heart from there. Bill was not married and had few ties outside of work: his family was from Michigan's U.P. country. I saw the boat just once in 1977 and the hull was complete, glassed, ready for paint. He had a mast and sails on order. He had a Volvo Penta installed, and a lot of interior work to do, but he was actually living in the workspace by then so he could spend every spare minute on the boat. I think "Cox Marine" was a private builder joke.
