    Cheers Dockhead, live and learn, eh? Hard lessons to learn by doing.
    The new boat is a blast and this year's cruise has been wonderful.
    Thanks from Keith.

    Dear Dockhead:
    Thank you for your contribuition to my thread about electronics. As I live in Brasil, I am subject only to Garmin old products and Raymarine costing 3 times as much as in USA. So I am looking to use Furuno or Simrad. My boat is a Trawler and I will try to have a simple, but decent set of electronics including a radar. The only issue that I have yet to figure out is about the Simrad NX40/45. I wonder if they can build up an integrated system to be used in two different command stations as you mentioned; Fly and Saloon. According to some Simrad dealers, that snap with NMEA 2000 cannot be done. Simrad does not answer my calls...Thank you again!

    What a lovely post - thank you.
    My overactive imagination was working overtime when I read Pat Henry's book. I've been in the ocean most of my life and I miss it. Your description of it being maybe more beautiful in bad weather than good made me smile.

    "You sea! I resign myself to you also . . . . I guess what you mean,
    I behold from the beach your crooked inviting fingers,
    I believe you refuse to go back without feeling of me;
    We must have a turn together . . . . I undress . . . . hurry me out of sight of the land,
    Cushion me soft . . . . rock me in billowy drowse,
    Dash me with amorous wet . . . . I can repay you."
