I have operated Charter Cruises for years on the Great Lakes & in the Caribbean. I sailed my vessel Phantom 'D' from Canada to the Caribbean, 3500 miles single handed & cruised the Caribbean for 6 years. Also completed yacht deliveries including transatlantic. I have tickets for marine engineer, offshore yachtmaster, HAM radio, celestial navigation.
I have been to Cuba many times and worked there as an extractive metallurgical engineer in the nickle industry; although, never sailed there. The US didn't make it easy.
I assume you and your colleagues are US nationals and are aware that there are 12 categories for which you can obtain a license for travel to Cuba. I'm Canadian, so doesn't impact me; however, my wife is a US citizen and Cuba travel impacts her.
Phantom 'D' is an Irwin 43, 48ft overall length, 14ft beam and will accommodate you comfortably.
