    I'm currently doing a lot of research for a suitable yacht that is both at home on extended coastal cruising and on South Pacific Island hopping passages.

    Until late 2010, I was only considering monohulls. However, I reassessed my requirements...which made comfort and liveability high on the list.

    As a result I'm now only considering multi-hulls.

    While in my youth I've sailed/crewed in several types of boats (from Hobie 16 catamarans, to J24 monohulls – and once on a Super Maxi called "Australia IV", a 1988 America's Cup challenger).

    I hope to have a sea change soon – financial situation permitting, live aboard my yacht for extended periods of time, and sail where the heart desires.
