We had posts back and forth on the Jimmy Cornell electric thread awhile back.

I wonder if you can offer any advice on why Balance went with Raymarine for the autopilot, instead of B&G H5000?

It seems the B&G H5000 with the Gust Response, steering to TWD (downwind) and the degree of calibration and user adjustment available, is an AP really better suited to higher performance multihulls, like the Balance range. Especially considering short handed bluewater cruising.

Has your experience with the RM Evolution AP been that good that it really is on a par with the B&G gear?
