    Hi Jack,

Keeping anything out of the sun will help preserve it from sun damage. So that part was easy and you got it right. But keeping the hypalon glue from giving up is a different matter. Long term storage deflated is the enemy. But your question seems to be going in different directions. Long term storage or on route. I think that the better question should be, back up dinghy or no back up dinghy.

A back up dink would be hard to justify in my book. But a different purpose dinghy that I actually get some use out of, and has also been my a back up, has worked well for me. It would absolutely not work for me if I could not nest my dinghies.

You seem to be firm on the RIB you want. What you choose will make all the difference. What is it again?

Give me a shout back here.

    Don
