    Biography
    I grew up on a lake with waterskiing in my blood. It wasn't until college that I first went on a sailboat--Catalina 22. As soon as the sails were hoisted and the motor shut off---I fell in LOVE with nature all over again. The balance of forces, the relative silence, the motion of the sea captured me. I joined a sailing club, got my own sailing dingy, raced on other's keelboats and eventually had my own Newport 30 MKIII "Dawn Treader" from CS Lewis. I next hope to do an extended cruise to NZ and Australia. I'm now (Oct. 2012) in the learning and boat seeking phase of the next phase of my life on the sea.
