I saw the post on the barrier Islands. I wanted to let you know that there are several cruising boaters in the area, Houma, Thibodaux, Lafayette, Hammond, etc. We usually get together in January for lunch and to talk about boats and cruising if you like I can send you more information, you can email me at stwillett at aol.com
I keep my boat in Houma just off the ICW.
