Biography

At twenty six I was living rent free in Manhattan, owned a prospering small business and had a wonderful girlfriend that wanted to get married. Life was perfect save one thing. Me. I still felt like a child living in his parents home. I had never left New York City and lived life truly on my own. And I didn't want to settle down. I felt like there was an adventure of my youth that still needed to be lived and a greater story that was calling me to play a part in it. In my darkest moments I would yell at God, "What do I want!" Months later while looking out at the Hudson river on an innocent summer afternoon I found my answer. By the next year, I had purchased a boat, moved my few remaining things onto her and cut everyting that tied me down. Then one grey fall morning I cast off the dock lines at my marina, sailed out of New York harbor and didn't look back.
