It looks like you have not been on this site for a while but if you are still interested in sailing feel free to give me a call. I am in Marina Del Rey and go out all the time. If I don't have a charter I take out groups from local sailing clubs in the marina. You can look me up on Channelislandscharter.com or Valmika beneteau on facebook

    Hi,

I think you will do this. I kinda jumped right into owning my boat with virtually not prep... I had a 3 day learn to sail course and read everything I could find at the time... attended boat shows and so forth. never owned or was on a boat except ferries. It took me 6 years to sail offshore and I've single handed to the Caribbean and even sailed with a guy to Brazil! You can do it!

If you need to ask... ask... I'll try to help... I don't want anything... I am old... married and retired and on the East Coast. You'll find plenty of single guys with boats. Maybe the right one if that's what you want.... but learn your sailing... it will make you an very polished shining soul.

    Biography
I was born in California and grew up in Hawaii. I love the ocean! I am most serene when I am being rocked to sleep and night by the waves. Throughout the years, I have both worked and vacationed on Cruse ships, along with spending days or weeks on varying models of ferries, sailboats, and motorized boats.

Some of my happiest memories are of my late teens to early 20's backpacking around the planet embracing new adventures. I am currently looking for a live aboard situation so that I may shed the unnecessary material baggage (cars, furniture, etc.) I have collected and get back to living simply.

I am looking forward to taking classes and eventually acquiring my own boat in a year or so once I learn more about them. I am open to all help and advice. :)
