Once around the Horn keep well offshore.... 500 miles would not be too far... up to at least 40º South. I've done three runs north from about that latitude... up to Valpo, Iquique, and Antofagasto/Ecuador... all pretty laid back runs east/inside of the south east pacific 'High' a sensible distance offshore.
No idea north of the equator....

I've timed my arrival to the recommended slack water and followed the track suggest in the 'admiralty pilot'... essentially from top NE to bottom SW.... there is a prefectura base on the mainland who may call you up.

I've gone through Le Maire twice from the north on my way from Falklands to Puerto Williams.... straight through with no stops last time (2017) and the time before that (2011) with a single stop at Puerto Hoppner... each trip blessed with fine weather ( both in November) .
Not much south of le Maire... Puerto Espanól is unsafe in many winds.. people die and lose their boats there and the alternatives are all in Chile and you would definitely have to enter the country.
I started in Chile with an old CQR... hopeless in kelp... changed to a Rocna in about 2008.... no trouble with anchoring since then.

With your solo non stop plan I would be inclined to give Le Maire a miss and stay well east of Staten Island. Issue is that you would be stopping in Argentine territory and they could get a bit unhappy...

That said there is no Argentine prefectura station at Hoppner so it would probably be a good stop to 'wait on weather'.
