  1. Fortress
    SailingFan,

Thank you for your message. Fortress is a Danforth-type anchor that is precision-machined from an aluminum-magnesium alloy, which insures easier handling along with faster setting and deeper penetration in common sea bottoms compared to traditional, much heavier steel anchors.

Additionally, the Fortress offers adjustable fluke angles for outstanding holding power: 32° for common bottoms, 45° for soft mud.

In recent Chesapeake Bay soft mud tests with the boating media present, a 21 lb (10 kg) Fortress anchor out-performed 10 competitive steel anchors weighing 35-46 lbs (16-21 kg) by a significant margin when set at the 45° angle for this bottom condition.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance and feel free to contact me directly at: brian at fortressanchors.com or 954-978-9988

    Safe anchoring,
    Brian

HI sailing fan, my humble apologies I hadnt heard of an SB8 before & couldnt open your pictures before for some reason so I assumed you were talking about a YSB8. Should have read your posts more closely.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Compass

Lookat this video & see if injection pump is the same but dont take it off unless you have to Sorry this site wont let me send email or link if you want a link to it look on youtube for Aussie50 & search for Yanmar yse12 injection pump. Somthing for you to look at whilst u r laid up. If you put washers on yr banjo bolts ( strongly recommend u do) you will have to bleed system . You can just anneal copper washers, thats what I do to avoid Yanmar mafia but as I say nylon best up to injection pump as its only 5 psi but after injection pump its approx 2400 psi. Hang in there u'll beat that engine in the end I think.
