    Sarah,

I'll gladly discuss in private my recent purchase and experiences looking at boats in and around your budget, why I suggested the Chesapeake as a starting point and a LOT more. Often places further south, the boats that are just sitting will gain issues quickly due to the environment. I did look at some Florida boats, I thought MD was bad for mildew.

I sign Friday for my Formosa 35 Sea Gull. The PO did a TON of work, she still needs some but not much to sail away. It was listed for $21,000 - I got it for MUCH less.

Cheoy Lee 35 listed around 20K would go for 11 cash. If the decks were done, this might be a fantastic boat.

Irwin 32.5C I looked at 3 times and my 2nd choice. Shoal draft, easy to sail, comfortable. Queen aft cabin. The owner is asking $9,500. I'd offer $5,500. It would not take much to splash it. Sail all Summer on the bay, equip and fit in a perfect area and down the ICW in the fall.

Anyway, feel free to ping me.

    Good luck!
