Hello Folks, I stumbled across this site researching RO units more specifically a DIY unit to produce at least 75 GPH once I get the kinks worked out I want to build a 200 to 400 GPH system. I'm in the process of building a 98 foot power boat that will haul passengers and freight inter-Island. I also have several small Islands around me that import all their water, so if I have a large enough unit I can fill my tanks while running and sell the excess. I also plan to provide hot water for showers and laundry for my crew of 7, I learned quite a bit already reading / sifting through the site and I thank you for sharing your knowledge. I will do the same as this project progresses. My new boat was delivered in December full of dry rot so I had to hire a new crew and replace about 70% of the ribs and stringers and 100% of the plywood. thank you for letting me join the forum. Braun.

thank you. i just came across this website by accident.....didn't know it exists. i was surfing the web trying to find out what i could about wind generators. keeping the batteries on my boat charged has been a constant problem for me, especially when my boat sits on it mooring for long periods without use. in the meantime i will take some time to explore this website. it might be nice to develop contacts with other mariners

Thank you for the welcome message. My wife and I are really new (and I mean really new) to sailing and will probably repeat questions that have been answered may times before. I do hope we will not infuriate too many members :-). We are very excited about owning our first sailboat, but, not sure what it will be yet. Yes indeed we are at the looking stage and advice will be more than welcome.
