    Biography
I'm looking for sailing (or PowerBoat) opportunities to expand on my sea mileage as I am working towards both my USGS Captains license as well as (eventually) my RYA Yachtmaster certification. I am available now through to the beginning of May to crew on any boat in the warmer waters of the south Atlantic.
I am one of the owner operators of The Barnacle Buster, a bottom cleaning service based out of City Island New York. I've been sailing most of my life, but only seriously for the last 8 years, with my second boat Fleeting Glimpse (1968 Cal 2-30 that I've restored and upgraded over the last few years). I've done a fair amount of lake sailing on Lake Ontario, but the majority of my experience is on various race class sail boats competing in Long Island Sound and various longer distance races, including two Vineyard races, with 1 win (on Rita, Hunter 34, as crew), and a 4th on my own boat (Fleeting Glimpse, Cal 2-30, as Helm). I've also done Around Long Island (First Rate, Tartan 37, crew) race and the last 6 years on Glory Days (Errikson 36, as crew. I've, on occasion raced in the Oyster Bay Classics over the last few years.
In terms of cruising/deliveries; over the last six years up and down Long Island Sound. Delivered a 36ft Pearson from inside Chesapeake Bay to NYC and this summer attempted to bring a boat (Fia, Endevour 40) up from Cartagena, Columbia to the west coast of Florida... We didn't make it, due to major boat damage in a Tropical Storm, but that's another story. In November, I completed a 2 week trip down the east coast from NYC through the ICW and out to Boca Raton on a 45ft Hunter DS. Just recently, I helped a cruiser bring a 37ft Tartan down from Naples to Key West, out to the Tortugas and back around the keys to Marathon.
I am a great cook, love to dive (892 hookah dives (2012-2015), 258 hours underwater), (50+ tank dives since 2000, max depth 142ft) and snorkel, and of course, sail (497 days on board as calculated by the USCG, over 6500 miles, both inshore and off)
