Biography

I'm a two-career kinda guy having retired from the Navy (Intel Chief Petty Officer) and still grinding the civilian side. Having both turned 50, we have re-evaluated life and are striving to retire early from the civilian world somewhere around 2026/2027 or so and expand our travel life. That said, we've also determined that we're not waiting until retirement to begin this journey.

Our plan currently is to learn about the sailing world, obtain our certifications (scheduled for October 2022), and begin developing our sailing resume. Hoping to purchase a catamaran (keeping the spouse happy!) in the 40 to 44 range sometime in 2023. We're based out of Tennessee but can work remotely -- so having a place to keep her that remains convenient to drive is optimal. Looking at the Alabama, northern Florida and Georgia coastlines as locations for now. Perhaps a bit further out but who knows. Semper gumbi.

That's our story for now and we're (hoping) sticking to it!
