    Singlehander, I can not only tell you about that brand of boat, but I can tell you about that exact boat, as I used to live on it back in the late 70s to early 80s. She was a great boat that withstood many hurricanes without any damage what so ever. Cal makes one tough boat. My dad upgraded all the hardware, and as you saw, there was plexiglass put over the outside of the main cabin windows in case a large wave hit to keep them from smashing in. Her main gear is all reenforced to withstand blue water sailing, as she was sailed to the Bahamas annually. My Dad also put in the refrigaration system which worked quite well on keeping our food frozen throughout the summer months while cruising through the Exuma Cays. I hope you bought the boat and have been enjoying it over the past few years. There's another Cal 35 for sale here in Saint Augustine. It has a new engine, etc... but still needs interior work to be completed.
