    Biography
    I'm a seasoned carpenter of 20 years that's spent the last number of years in the building maintenance field, where I do a lot of troubleshooting, repairing and mcgyvering. I'm resourceful, practical, calm under pressure, easygoing and open minded. I like to think I can hold a conversation well, and am interested in what you have to say. I believe life is about gaining wisdom through experiences and exchanging viewpoints. All while attempting to avoid the pitfalls of 'belief precedes experience'.

    I'm drawn to the romantic adventure of exploring the world by sail. Strangely enough, I'm also drawn to the non glamorous challenges of maintaining and repairing things in less than ideal circumstances. The peaks are savoured more when you've thrashed around in the valley. I'm also appreciative of the fact that destinations and schedules are always a moving target. I understand the role of the captain and how the position's leadership can create a successful voyage. I prefer team sports to individual ones, because the collective energies of the individuals can often achieve more.

    After arriving later in life to the sailing party, I'm hook, line and sinkered. So far, I've bought a Mirror dingy and brought a six pack to the local club races and learned a ton lake racing every Wednesday night. I'm eager to learn more and round out my skill set by getting as many nautical miles under my belt as possible.

    Edit: I’ve since upgraded to a 19’ Lightning dingy, mostly single handing. Also got my Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper in Desolation Sound in the PNW. Currently looking to build miles, experience and seamanship. Thanks.
