Biography

I was born and raised in a big city, Milan. In 1991, I had my first sailing experience whilst vacationing in the Bahamas; at the time it was just a holiday and nothing more, archived and – almost – forgotten. In 2010, with the plan of staying only two months in Sardinia between October and November along with Monica, we both came across an idea whilst taking a walk on the beach: take a boat to sail and let it become our home. Sooner said than done, but not as simple as you might think. There was a lot of studying involved, researching excursions and weather conditions, finding a suitable boat. It was difficult, however, we had strong determination, which kept us alive during the creation of our project. After six months of rigorous research and a considerable number of prospects our dream finally came true. This special boat became our home and our companion of our future journeys. Some say to me: ‘It takes courage’, others: ‘I am jealous’, however, I look at it differently, it's just an interpretation of how you want to live the life that matters.

We remember the many times when we were watching the boats at anchor or in port, our imagination would run at full speed. We never had a “charter” experience because that way to sail was not our original intention and did not fit our idea of “sailing & living”, which is very different. At that time, unfortunately we hadn't found our boat.

Now our dream has come true and our boat is a part of our lives, allowing us to live and travel as we please.
