    I'm very new to sailing, perhaps 30nm on two boats. I got the bug two years ago when a friend asked me to rewire his boat. I had no experience re-wiring boats but plenty of experience with low voltage electrics and electronics so after some research was able to make a nice job for him. For years though I have dreamed of living on a boat, probably a catamaran and sailing the world. I'm good with my hands so the possibility of building or restoring a boat is very appealing. The first half of my life is pretty much over and the second half is beckoning so I'm taking time to explore some different possibilities.
