Hi SV,

New to boating; looking to buy a fairly excellently maintained Polaris 43 to live aboard in the Bay Area. Just from a limited housing standpoint, it looks to be a great deal.

The only issue I see with the boat so far is that it is soft around the fore hatch. Thoughts on this? Haven't gotten the survey done yet, but also going to be hiring someone to take a look. Initial estimate was about $15K.

In the Polaris, is the plywood core stuck between two layers of fiberglass?

I am contemplating viewing a Polaris 43 in Wisconsin.
Would you happen to know the boat? I live in Greece and it's a long way to go. Can you tell me what to look for? Are you happy with the boat? Can you tell me how she sails, stands up to weather? Do you consider them soundly built?
