Hello! I was recently looking for a Prout to buy for my family of 4. I read about you purchasing a 1980 Prout Quasar in Florida in 2010. When i was a teenager, my father bought a 1980 Prout Quasar that had been dismasted down in the Yucatan Peninsula. He had it from 1992 until the mid 2000's. He had built the mast for it out of wood & fiberglass. I have fond memories of the boat & have always searched for it in the Internet. It was my introduction to sailing. We lived aboard until I went off to college. Then he & my stepmother continued to sail her until around 2000. I think he sold it to a man from Texas. A doctor I think. Anyways, just thought I'd ask about her & see if you have any pics. Would love to see her. Thanks in advance & I hope this reaches you.

Extra kul när man ser ngn svensk här på forumet och särskilt när de handlat en katamaran. Köpte själv en 30 ft katta i Panama sep 2007. Seglade med den 15 månader över stilla havet och sålde den i Australien. Har själv kikat lite på Quasar:n - om jag skulle ge mig ut igen. Såg bland annat en som höll på att totalrenoveras i filipinerna. Ska du ut på långsegling? Berätta gärna hur du kommer gå tillväga när du registrerar din båt/skepp. Kommer den skeppsmätas när du kommer till sverige eller ska du segla från USA vidare ut på din kanske precis påbörjade jordenruntseglats?
